PLAN DE VIAJE

Nuestra primera excursión de este semestre se centrará en la provincia de Salamanca, sus montañas y sus típicos pueblos. La excursión comienza en “LA PEÑA DE FRANCIA” (a 1 hora de Salamanca) donde disfrutaremos de unas vistas increíbles de las montañas de Salamanca. Allí visitaremos el Santuario de la Virgen de la Sierra de Francia y conoceremos sus leyendas.

El viaje continuará hacia "LA ALBERCA", un precioso pueblo típico de las montañas de Salamanca que miles de personas visitan cada año. Visitaremos la plaza mayor del pueblo y veremos las casas típicas de la arquitectura serrana.Durante nuestra visita a La Alberca tendremos tiempo para comer. Puedes traer un bocadillo o disfrutar de la gastronomía local en los diferentes bares y restaurantes que te encontrarás en el pueblo.

Después de la visita a La Alberca nuestro viaje proseguirá hacia “MOGARRAZ”, conocido por los retratos pintados sobre las fachadas de piedra de sus casas, una seña de identidad única del pueblo. Estas imágenes representan a antiguos habitantes, basadas en fotografías de documentos de identidad del siglo XX, y están integradas directamente en los muros, como si la piedra misma guardara la memoria del lugar. Los retratos convierten las calles en una galería al aire libre, donde el pasado observa al visitante y refuerza el fuerte vínculo de Mogarraz con su historia y sus raíces.

Finalmente visitaremos “SAN MARTIN DEL CASTAÑAR” otro precioso pueblo de la Sierra de Francia, conocido por su castillo medieval, sus murallas bien conservadas y sus vistas al valle. Su casco histórico, de calles empedradas y casas tradicionales, mantiene un aire señorial y tranquilo.

Our first excursion of this semester will focus on the province of Salamanca, its mountains, and its typical villages. The trip begins at La Peña de Francia (about one hour from Salamanca), where we will enjoy breathtaking views of the mountains of Salamanca. There we will visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Sierra de Francia and learn about its legends.

The journey will continue to La Alberca, a beautiful traditional village in the mountains of Salamanca that thousands of people visit every year. We will visit the town’s main square and see the typical houses of serrana architecture. During our visit to La Alberca, there will be time for lunch. You may bring a sandwich or enjoy the local gastronomy in the various bars and restaurants you will find in the village.

After visiting La Alberca, our trip will continue to Mogarraz, known for the portraits painted on the stone façades of its houses, a unique hallmark of the village. These images depict former residents, based on photographs from 20th-century identity documents, and are painted directly onto the walls, as if the stone itself preserved the memory of the place. The portraits turn the streets into an open-air gallery, where the past seems to watch the visitor and strengthens Mogarraz’s deep connection to its history and roots.

Finally, we will visit San Martín del Castañar, another beautiful village in the Sierra de Francia, known for its medieval castle, its well-preserved walls, and its views over the valley. Its historic center, with cobbled streets and traditional houses, retains a noble and peaceful atmosphere.
